“La niña pez” es un fotolibro realizado a partir de fotografías del álbum familiar, dibujos escolares y textos actuales de la autora. Se trata de un relato que, a través de la voz de una niña, construye un imaginario visual que mezcla el diario íntimo infantil y la agenda adolescente; junta pedazos de recuerdos y de imágenes en un esfuerzo por develar lo oculto, por poner nombre ahí donde hubo silencio para transformar “el horror en lo posible”. La niña pez se pregunta ¿qué harás con lo que te han hecho? Y la primera respuesta es “Contarlo, para por fin romper el hechizo y destruir el secreto.” Y quizás así empezar a lograr que el miedo y la culpa, por fin, cambien de lugar.
“The fish girl” is a photobook made from photographs of the family album, school drawings and current texts by the author. It is a story that, through the voice of a girl, builds a visual imaginary that mixes childhood and teenage diaries. It brings together pieces of memories and images in an effort to unveil the hidden, to put a name where there was silence to transform “horror into the possible”. The fish girl asks herself, “What will you do with what they have done to you? And the first answer is “Tell it, to finally break the spell and destroy the secret.” And perhaps in this way begin to make fear and guilt, at last, change their place.

“La niña pez” es beneficiado con la Beca Creación 2021 del Fondo Nacional de las Artes de Argentina. En 2022, es finalista del Star Photobook Dummy Award de la Fundación Photographic Social Vision, Barcelona, España. En 2024, se presenta en Días de Maquetas, en el marco de FELIFA Festival de Libros de Fotografía y Artes Gráficas, Centro Cultural Haroldo Conti, CABA, Argentina. En 2025, es publicado por La Luminosa y se presenta en la librería del Fondo de la Cultura Económica junto a La Luminosa Editorial. Ese mismo año, el proyecto ampliado del fotolibro «La niña pez» es beneficiado por el Programa Mecenazgo de Impulso Cultural del Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires para el desarrollo de grandes proyectos artísticos y culturales.
“The fish girl” was awarded the 2021 Creation Grant by the National Arts Fund of Argentina. In 2022, was a finalist for the Star Photobook Dummy Award, Photographic Social Vision Foundation, Barcelona, Spain. In 2024, was presented at Dummy Days, FELIFA Festival of Photography and Graphic Arts Books, at the Haroldo Conti Cultural Center, C.A.B.A., Argentina. In 2025, is published by La Luminosa Editorial, Buenos Aires. That same year, the expanded photobook project “La niña pez” received funding from the Mecenazgo de Cultural Impulse Program of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires for the development of major artistic and cultural projects.
